The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the largest youth organization which is dedicated to develop the qualities, leadership, spirit of adventure, sportsman spirit and ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens of our country. The NCC unit of T. M. J. M Govt. College is affiliated to 18(K) Battalion NCC Muvattupuzha under Kottayam group.
Independence Day Celebrations are conducted every year by the NCC wing of our College. Our Cadets ensure active participation in various camps and programmes conducted by the Battalions as well as neighboring colleges. A Communal Harmony Week was celebrated in the campus from November 19th to 25th, 2012. Cadet Neethu. C. P attended the National Trekking Camp at Kurseong in Sikkim from September 23rd to October 3rd 2012. Cadet Sanoop. A. M attended a National Integration Camp at Nirmala College Muvattupuzha from 19th – 30th November, 2012. Cadet Ajay Vishnu has been selected for TSC Camp. An Exhibition was conducted in the college from 3 to 4 January, 2013 in which the NCC cadets displayed different types of Defence equipments like Rifles, Charts etc. The Firing Practice for the cadets was conducted on 1st February, 2013. Cadets of our unit have been attending ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate Examinations every year. The NCC plays a key role in keeping the cadets’ physical fitness and mental discipline.
